![]() This is mostly a hint to finedynamic or speed. It should sound faster than the CD, although it has the exact same lenght as on CD. I did DeClicking & DeScratching and a little equalizing, not much more. Taken from the vinyl EP, it may sound inferior to the CD. After that I did heavy equalizing to thicken the thin bassline of this 80s´ track and reducing high & mid frequenzies with sharp filtering to make it more smooth and appealing. I corrected the Volume to normal levels, then I compressed the stereoimage. This track was suffering from effects of Loudness war. I won´t mention Tracks, which were not processed (except Resampling, Offset-Correction & Changing the Volume)Ģ. Monitoring was done with three Sennheiser Headphones, Heco Loudspeakers, Canton Loudspeakers, Sony Loudspeakers. After that the tracks were ready for a new Mastering.ĭo you still have time? It will be getting detailed now (I leave the interludes out, a bit guessing can be fun, can it not?)Įquipment: WaveLab, Sound Forge, Foobar (for resampling), 'Altiverb' from Audio Ease, Algorithmix Orange EQ, Algorithmix DeNoiser & DeScratcher, 'RubyTube' and finally WMP (for HDCD decoding). Before resampling I did an offset correction. #ALTIVERB 6 SOUND FORGE PROBLEM CODE#The MP3 tracks were a problem - how can I recreate lost frequenzies, how can I hide compression effects?ĬD/MP3 were upsampled using MegaNerds Secret Rabbit Code - I found out, it´s even better than my preferred Adobe Audition Resampler. Vinyl tracks were grabbed in 24/96 from my old Technics (I retired my Thorens). Tracks from CD were grabbed according to the rules - quality after all counts over everything.
